Charts section constantly vandalised[edit]

The user Magiciandude keeps on removing the track's chart position in an official Billboard chart, and actually the second most important Latin chart, published weekly by the Billboard magazine. He claims that the Latin Airplay chart is a component of the Latin Songs chart, although this is false. According to Billboard, the Latin Airplay chart is about the week's most popular songs played on Regional Mexican, Latin pop, tropical and Latin rhythm stations, ranked by radio airplay audience impressions as measured by Nielsen BDS. On the other hand, the site of Billboard refers to the Hot Latin songs chart as : The week's most popular Spanish-language songs ranked by radio airplay audience impressions as measured by Nielsen BDS, sales data as compiled by Nielsen SoundScan and streaming activity data from online music sources tracked by Nielsen BDS. Songs are defined as current if they are newly-released titles, or songs receiving widespread airplay and/or sales activity for the first time. In other words, they are two very different charts. Apart from that, the Latin Airplay chart figures second in the Latin Genre charts in the site of Billboard, proving that it is much more important from other charts like the Latin Pop songs chart or the Tropical Songs chart. Per WP:BILLBOARDCHARTS, the Latin Airplay chart is not to be included in the article if the song has already ranked on the Latin Songs chart, since the Latin Airplay chart is a component of the Latin Songs. — Diva Knockouts 16:48, 21 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Here is an excerpt from the article when Billboard announced its methodology:

Each receive a major consumer-influenced face-lift, as digital download sales (tracked by Nielsen SoundScan) and streaming data (tracked by Nielsen BDS from such services as Spotify, Muve, Slacker, Rhapsody, Rdio and Xbox Music, among others) will now be factored into the 50-position rankings, along with existing radio airplay data monitored by Nielsen BDS.

As you can see, the Hot Latin Songs is divided into airplay, digital downloads, and streaming data. We don't include the Latin Airplay chart if a song has ranked on the Hot Latin Songs for the same reason we don't include the Hot 100 Airplay and the Hot 100 songs at the same time.
