Pulitzer Prize Date?

Description of incident

Actually while nothing excuses assault Landsmark had been unaware of the nature of the demonstration and had tried to walk through it. The demonstrators were parents and students from a mostly White neighborhood which had a large number of blacks introduced to their school through the practice of racially intergration school busing. They had been listening to speeches about resulting dislocation and disruption. They were told the authorities might try to break the demonstration up then suddenly there was this guy in a suit. Far from being "the man" he was there taking the shortest path to get a permit from City Hall for a client.

Weigers.g, overall I think your additions to the page provide really important information! I made a few changes to the wording of the first sentence of the “Aftermath of The Soiling of Old Glory” section for clarity and added a link to the page for Mayor Flynn near the end of the section. Beyond that, my suggestions to move it toward “perfect article” status would be to 1) try to incorporate some images into the page if you can find any. It might also be interesting to see if there are any video or audio clips of him talking about the incident that would be available for use. I don’t know if there will be anything that isn’t copyrighted, but it can’t hurt to look. 2) It might also be helpful to further explain “public ire” in the “Aftermath” section. Were there articles written about it at the time? Did it spark any pro-busing actions? 3) I think the phrase “anti-busing supporters” is a bit confusing. Having anti and supporters in the same phrase makes it a bit unclear what their position was. It might be more clear to say anti-busing protesters or something along those lines to make it more obvious that they were fighting against busing.
