[edit] Merge from Handclaws
Please merge relevant content, if any, from Handclaws per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Handclaws. (If there is nothing to merge, just leave it as a redirect.) Thanks. —Quarl (talk) 2007-03-02 08:42Z
[edit] Distinction is necessary
The depicted image is Shuko, not Neko-te. For some reason these items were merged and shuko redirects to neko-te. This is wrong. Neko-te are finger-tip metal nails (or as presently described, blades on a handle) meant for fighting. Shuko are what are depicted in the image, meant to aid in climbing and an entirely different item from neko-te. I don't know how to unmerge and have no desire to write separate entries at any rate. Anyone feel like fixing this?
- Yes. Perhaps, due to similarity, it's better to have one as the section of the other. --RossF18 (talk) 00:54, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Confusion
Well, for the longest time I've thought that nekode were what Shuko are being described as which would seem likely to due the resemblance to a cat's claws, but with a google image search, I fear that all I know is wrong. The funny part is this adds to the inaccuracies in Oriental Adventures that I'll just disregard if this is true. However, the fact that the article is somewhat vague in describing either weapon only adds to the confusion. I know, as ninja tools, they are hard to gather information about, but can't somebody add a little more substance to them to clear up some confusion? Like some captioned pictures? I would like to do it myself, but I know too little to try to contribute in this manner. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.60.22.94 (talk) 02:22, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
