Yellapu caste is actually a synonym to telaga
Yellapu caste is actually a telangana migrated telagas.
POV of Others
The author is wrong in this statement ".People of Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vysya are known as Aryas as they have celesitial thread(Jandyamu in Telugu). Though Kamma, Reddy, Velamas and Kapu belongs to Forward caste they do not have celesitial thread(Jandyamu in Telugu) they were not Aryas.". The author may correct based on my views below. In current day circumstances, the brahmin community has fallen down so much from their ideals that they are the Sudras. Now, coming to practicing varna dharma, the sacred thread ceremony for brahmins, kshathriyas and vaishyas are not a privilege but a higher duty imposed on them and they have negative karma if they do not stay with higher morals. Based on the dharma practiced by Kamma, Reddy, Velamas, Kapus etc, they are Vaishyas or Kshatriyas and I have friends in these communities who wear sacred thread. The author's comment on classification of "Arya" is based on the british Aryan-Dravidian theory to divide the Hindu society and create a discord. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.127.116.11 (talk) 20:44, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
I think some wikipedia admins like Sitush etc, you are not willing to listen to another editor's point of view.
You are also not quoting any proper recognized sources to prove that Kapu/Balija, Reddy, Kamma, Velama communities were Sudhras or belonged to which Varna. Still you seem to be classifying these forward castes as Sudhras without proper, authentic, government sources to prove.

>> Hindu law permits only the higher castes that come under Brahmin, Kshatriya, and Vysya Varnas to wear the sacred thread.
The word 'Hindu law' is not an appropriate one here, as it refers to 'Modern Hindu law' or 'Hindu Personal Law' under the constitution of India. Sacred Thread is Hindu custom, which denotes that one who wear the sacred thread should be pure in his thought, word and deed. The sacred thread reminds a Brahmachari to lead a regulated life with purity in his thought, word and deed. These threads also represent the debt that is owed to the guru, parents and society.
- Kamma/Chowdary (sudras,Business, Politicians, Administrators, Agriculturists, Peasants, Warriors(During british), Landlords)
- Velama (sudras, Agriculturists, Peasants, Warriors(During british), Landlords)
- Reddy (sudras, Politicians, Agriculturists, Peasants, Warriors(During british), Landlords)
- Kapu/Balija/Telaga/Naidu (sudras, Agriculturists, Peasants, Warriors(During british), Landlords)
This topic is about the Forward Castes of Andhra Pradesh and not about the Varnas of Hinduism, what is the need to add 'Sudra to all above 4 categories. I visited this page sometime back, some of the above castes were classified as Kings too. It was removed by some one and Warriors is modified to Warriors(During british). I would like to make it clear:
- Any one who knows history of Andhra knows that at least some of the above four castes, were kings. King doesn't mean Kshatriya.
- The above castes were definitely the warriors for Rani Rudramadevi and Sri Krishnadeva Raya and much before the British. They have not worked with the British Army in India.
On the whole this edit shows the height of the immaturity of the EDITOR on the subject of Andhra or Telugu history. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sasireddy (talk • contribs) 19:00, 23 January 2011 (UTC) Sasireddy 19:31, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
Reddys, Kammas, Velamas and Kapus are the powerful castes in Andhra Pradesh because of their land holding, their education and their business. For that matter every caste in SUDRA are also progressing under the democratic constitution of India.
By adding the VARNA of a caste and branding them as LOWER CASTE, one can see the hate towards prospering castes of SUDRA.
What is the standard to prove the SUDRA varna are lower castes? and rest of the VARNAS are upper castes? practicing "UN-TOUCHABILITY" towards the most deprived castes of Hindu society by the so called 3 upper varnas?
As long as this narrow mindedness continues, India can never dream of being the most sophisticated civilization in the modern world. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sasireddy (talk • contribs) 19:31, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
Forward class/caste section
I have removed the Forward class section. It is almost impossible to verify this except by deduction, which we are [[WP:OR|not allowed to do. It is generally recognised that there is no list of forward classes and that the presumption is that a community is Forward if it does not appears in the OBC/ST/SC etc lists, which would require a fairly massive amount of original research and synthesis on our part. Furthermore, the section appeared to be trying to assert the classification based on varna and that, too, is not acceptable. In fact, it is plain wrong: there are plenty of kshatriya communities, for example, in India that are listed as OBCs.
The entire article is a mess and desperately needs better sourcing & a copyedit, but I do not have the time to do it justice right now. Hopefully someone else will do. - Sitush (talk) 09:29, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
As per Government of India laws, the word Sudhra must not be used to degrade any caste. Wikipedia can be taken to court in India with possible penalties if the word Sudhra is used to degrade any caste.
Government of India has made it mandatory in 1950 itself not to classify Hindu castes using the Varna system such as Kshtriya, Brahmin, Vysya and Sudhra which is controversial classification of castes.
However here is Wikipedia some Editors, seem to be freely using the ancient Varna system (which was created during medieval times and before that) to classify Hindu castes now in 21st century Internet Age. I would request the Super Editors and Owners of Wikipedia to remove mention of Varna system to classify Hindu castes, as it is not only controversial but also breaks the Laws of Government of India. Never mention the word Sudhra or any classification under the ancient Varna system in any caste article in Wikipedia, otherwise Wikipedia could be taken to court in India.

Is Agnikulakshatriya belong to pure fisherman community?
No. There are many who are not fishing as their livelihood. There are farmers, artisans, ship builders, poojaris etc., for the last five generations. The water transportation is under Agnikulakshatriya people until road transport begins. The editor of this article is very immature. No wrong to mention him as an 'infant' in history. WE DON'T TOLERATE SUCH DISCRIMINATION. 18.104.22.168 (talk) 17:23, 17 October 2013 (UTC)విక్రమ్
Respected విక్రమ్, Yes,Government of Andhra Pradesh classified their Occupation as fishing. Agnikulakshatriya,Palli,Vadabalija, besthaJalari,Gangavar,Gangaputra,Goondla, Vanyakulakshatriya(Vennakapu, vannereddi, pallikapu, pallireddi, neyyala & pattapu) these are fishermen communities classified by Government of Andhra Pradesh.Achieving Jobs & doing businesses and also different occupations in order to achieve money to improve economical status is not difficult for that castes because of being in Backward Castes in Democracy.
Respected విక్రమ్, Your opinion is immaterial, only truth is important & can't be changed. You said "Poojaris",that indicates your lack of knowledge, that no one will accept castes of Shudra varna to be as Poojaris. These Pallis & Vanniyars in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu changed their caste names in 1931 census due to their successful politicking in order to achieve higher status.Vanniyars/Pallis are agricultural labourers in Tamil Nadu & fishermen in Andhra Pradesh written in many books. In fact "Vanniyar" is not only the caste name.It is the name of the title used by many castes in history. It is also the surname of "Thevars" caste in Tamil Nadu. But these Vanniyar Caste people are trying to misinterpret that wherever "Vanniyar" word appears in history they are adding it to their caste history.Even these Vanniyakula Kshatriya/Agnikula Kshatriya(Vanniyar/Pallis) castes are claiming that these are descendants of Pallava Dynasty by making fraud theories. It is their mere foolishness because Pallavas are Kshatriyas and they are not Agnivanshi Kshatriyas even.Pallava Dynasty claim their ancestry to the descendance of Suryavanshi Kshatriya Dynasty of Ikshvakus.
Vandalism by IPs & POV pushing by interpreting false statements
"22.214.171.124" & many other IPs are vandalising the articles by removing the overseas development link and also the link related to Backward castes list & their occupations by State Government of Andhra Pradesh.I presume that the IP i have mentioned is from Kapu caste and he is interpreting false statements. Please know that there are seven forward castes that: 1.Brahmin 2.Kshatriya 3.Vaishya 4.Kamma 5.Reddy 6.Velama 7.Kapu according to Andhra Pradesh Government. Here,Kamma,Kapu,Velama & Reddy belong to Shudra varna. As there is no need to mention their varna i.e. shudra, but people from different IPs are misinterpreting them as Kshatriyas & removing Brahmins,Kshatriyas & vaishyas. As the truth is Government of Andhra Pradesh mentions different sects of Brahmins as "Brahmin", "Rajus/Kshatriya Rajus" as "Kshatriya" and "Arya Vaisya/Komati" caste as "Vaishya".
