Two logos?[edit]

I had removed the older logo, but as rightly pointed out by Evolver of Borg who put it back, I failed to justify my decision. My rationale is that it's redundant: the logo is not significantly different from the current logo, it adds nothing to the article (the different logo has no significance to the program), and—especially at the article's current length—it needlessly clutters up the page. So I don't think it's necessary or desirable. If anyone has a good reason to keep it, make a note here; otherwise I'll remove it again. -- Guybrush 10:46, 10 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I tend to agree, the article's too short for 2 pictures, although if the history section is expanded significantly then putting the old logo back into that section seems logical. Agnte 10:49, 10 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I also agree. If the image was of a really old logo, with some historic significance, then it should stay. But the two logos currently in the article are not that different from each other. I say the article's better off without the older logo. Cnwb 11:02, 10 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

For my case, I think we should keep the logo for historical purposes. Merging the two images into one however might be a better solution (the newer logo is a bit big as it is) as opposed to just removing it. I say we make a single image for the page. I dont see how having one image with both logos is any different to just having both logos. And if you're going to claim 'historical purposes' you might as well create History of the 7.30 Report Logo and put all the images in there :) . State editions[edit]

I don't know enough about The 7.30 Report's history to really make an edit myself, but I recall that until about 1997 or so, The 7.30 Report here (Perth) was locally produced and hosted by Alan Carpenter, who is now a senior Minister in the WA Government. After 1997 or so, we got the national 7.30 Report broadcast, with Kerry O'Brien. - Mark 16:11, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

controversy[edit]

This is true! Watch the 7:30 report and you can see that people in the labor party ar not interupted when they are being interviewed. when someone who is part of the librial party is interviewed they are interupted constantly. Im not being a vandal by saying this in the article how do you know that he is not doing it. If you had watched an interview that kerry did with julia gillard she was not interupted once. See a librial being interviewed he intrupts them non stop. This means he is being too one sided.Pattav2 (talk) 08:50, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
