Updating elimination list[edit]

Should we wait until after the Saturday 8PM EST rebroadcast of The Amazing Race to update the elimination list? I know that some viewers wait until Saturday to see each episode, and we don't want to spoil the race for them. I added comments before and after the elimination table to ask others to refrain from updating it until the rebroadcast is over. If we decide against this, the comments can be removed. - MattTM 13:31, Aug 18, 2004 (UTC)

One other thing: Should this apply to the locations list as well? Where the teams went probably doesn't matter as much as who got eliminated. It should be all right if we update that early. Also, the comments I added are not visible to readers of the article, they are only shown when someone edits the page, so it doesn't affect anything else. - MattTM 13:39, Aug 18, 2004 (UTC)

Nevermind. Spoiler tag is now in use on all TAR articles. - MattTM 03:50, Sep 21, 2004 (UTC)

Roadblock Count[edit]

Should we keep the roadblock count? This season was before the rule limiting the number each person could do, so it never affected the race results. Elysion 10:57, 27 Apr 2005 (UTC)

The only reason to show the RB count is to show why the producers had to change the rules for the next season. --Madchester 06:35, 2005 May 1 (UTC)

Minor qualm; they ran 13 roadblocks the entire race, but 2 were edited out: Dubai and Banff. The count needs to be adjusted to compensate for these two missing RBs.

I know that the men from the Final 3 all did the teepee challenge, you can see that in spy pics [1]. And I know all the men from the Final 3 did the RB in Dubai, cuz all their partners admitted they only did one. We just don't know who of Linda/Karen and Kami/Karli did that RB.... I think both teams mentioned it before in after-show interviews. --Madchester 14:43, 2005 May 13 (UTC)

Yield[edit]

The Yield was available on each leg this season; but they only showed it when it was A) used or B) consider being used by a team. Otherwise, it was edited out to give more focus to the other challenges. --Madchester 16:17, 2005 May 12 (UTC)

Philippines Leg[edit]

The racers went to Philippines last February 2004 three months before our national elections. First, they went to Cavite to assemble a jeepney. Later, they went a small town in a Province of Laguna, but, I like the plow thing. Colin shouted, "My ox is broken!" and he said to ox. "Oh my god, I hate you." After the detour, the racers went 120 miles to Manila and they take to Coconut Palace the greeter all of the teams was Luli, the daughter of our current President, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Charla and Mirna references[edit]

I removed the reference to them being in a rap video because I did not see them in the video and found no reference anywhere else for this information. I haven't been able to find a reference for the claim of them participating in E3, either. What is the game about? Can anyone provide a little more information? Or is this stealthy vandalism? 200.150.46.231 01:34, 7 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Middle East[edit]

I removed the trivia bit about visiting the Middle East because, according to Image:GreaterMiddleEast2.png, Tunisia (TAR1) and Morocco (TAR3) are part of the Greater Middle East. I think it should mention the Greater Middle East or not be there at all. - Royboycrashfan 22:20, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

K/K and L/K[edit]

Should we remove the bit about Linda & Karen/Kami & Karli being the top 2 female teams? If, apparently, Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate source of information.... -207.30.155.229 02:28, 31 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No all-female team has won the race. I feel we should acknowledge the best of all time. Royboycrashfan 00:28, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Route Map[edit]

Just a minor nitpick with the route map: it doesn't show that teams went to San Carlos de Bariloche before going up to Russia. Is there any way to change that? -User:HansTAR 19:32, 06 May 2006

You can always download the image, add the location on the map using a paint program, then reload it under the same name, it'll replace the current image. -- SmthManly / ManlyTalk / ManlyContribs 23:38, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Move the box?[edit]

The spoilers warning appears after where on the info box you can see who won the race. I guess it doesn't effect that many people, but...

But ...[edit]

"The Amazing Race 5 .... which was the longest race route yet, covering six continents ".

How could TAR covered six continents if there are only five? 2804:14D:5CE6:A2E1:455D:80D8:C127:DC4 (talk) 18:34, 12 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Is this a joke? There are seven continents. Bgsu98 (Talk) 20:26, 13 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Buenos Aires, Argentina[edit]

No need to link Argentina here. Per WP:OVERLINK. The combined form only redirects to just Buenos Aires. Sportsfan 1234 (talk) 20:23, 13 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, all of the countries on all of the articles have links, which I agree violates WP:OVERLINK; hence, combining the country with the city that ultimately links only to the city, while at the same time, not looking off visually. No countries are ultimately linked. Bgsu98 (Talk) 20:25, 13 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
