Who really directed this?[edit]
The German-language literature suggests that Bushell (known at the time only as an actor) was hired as the “director” as Karl Hartl, the actual director who had made the Austrian film on which this production was based, could not be credited. The reason being that Hartl was an Austrian, and at that time a citizen of an occupied country. More research and a correction is probably needed. 31.124.106.27 (talk) 04:02, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
