CEE authors -- which includes heavy weights[edit]

The CEE article authors are listed here: [1]. James Tobin, Lawrence H. Summers, Joseph E. Stiglitz are 3 of the authors. Rather than giving a listing of the heavy (and light) weights, which may be seen as puffery, the single overall descriptive blurb about authors should suffice. – S. Would help a lot to find a reliable secondary source, instead of getting toes right onto and maybe across the line of editor WP:OR. NewsAndEventsGuy (talk) 22:16, 8 September 2013 (UTC)
We can use CEE's descriptions about the authors as WP:RS – even if it is WP:PRIMARY. Why? No interpretation of the source is involved and it is RS. Consider, if any of these authors had not provided the articles, they'd certainly raise a sink if CEE falsely attributed the works to them. I'm not suggesting that we list the various Nobel guys, or Democrats, or Republicans. A simple notation that Nobel guys are amongst the contributors is sufficient because it states a simple verifiable fact and provides useful information to the reader. It basically says some of the articles are worthwhile. The readers can then decide for themselves if they like what they read. – S. Rich (talk) 22:33, 8 September 2013 (UTC)
I'm ok with saying some of the authors have Nobels in economics but I'm not leaping from that factoid to any assessment of weight or reliability of their essays in this particular work. How about you, Nigelj (talk · contribs)? NewsAndEventsGuy (talk) 22:36, 8 September 2013 (UTC)

Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... 1. A number of articles in the CEE are written by Nobel Prize winning authors. 2. Two reviews, listed in the references, verify its worthiness. 3. Some ≈150 WP articles link to it, because (I believe) the CEE is used as a reference in the articles. -- – S. This looks like a moot point now. The speedy tag has been removed by another editor, citing notability. – S. Rich (talk) 23:13, 26 June 2014 (UTC)
