Explain the reasons for the two boycotts.
"Thus they did not" Change to "Therefore, they did not"
"and have participated in every Summer Olympics since then, making Sydney their fifth consecutive appearance at the Summer Games." Split this part into a different sentence.
"having previously represented The Gambia at the 1996 Summer Olympics" You should add a link to the main 1996 Olympics page.
- "to represent The Gambia at the 2004 Summer Olympics." Do this for 2004.
"he participated in the first round heats of the men's 100 meters race, and was drawn into heat eight." He was drawn into heat eight of the first round heats?
"middle of her three consecutive" So second?
"On 22 September she participated in the first round heats of the women's 800 meters competition, and was drawn into heat five." Comma after September, and fix the same thing two bulleted points above.
