Ferrari Daytona?[edit]

Really? The SOUND of two of the cars' engines, reproduced faithfully, is enough reason to watch the movie? I might suggest the writer of this article MIGHT be a bit too close to his subject. The comment about the Ferrari Daytona deserves some explanation. The Daytona was produced in Coupe and Convertible forms by the Ferrari factory. Somewhere between 121 and 126 convertibles were produced by the factory. However, the value of the convertibles and relative rarity made some owners of coupes have their cars converted to convertibles. Some were done very professionally and others less so but the total number modified is unknown.

As far as the sounds of the Cobra 427 and the Ferrari Daytona V12 being worth watching the movie - to a true car nut this is a 100% accurate statement. The V12 is like no other engine; velvety smooth and amazingly powerful. Hearing the 6 dual Weber carburetors sucking in great gobs of air as the car accelerates has few equals as far as exilirating sounds go. Similarily the 427 Ford V8 in the Cobra used either a single 4 barrel, 2 - 4 barrels or 4 Weber carbs - which produces a similar mechanical symphony as the Ferrari although in a different key. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.57.181.125 (talk) 23:07, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rolls Royce demise[edit]

It is stated that the Rolls Royce's brakes failed, causing it to roll backwards down the hill and crash. Would it be more accurate to cite the transmission as failing, popping out of Park?
