Missing Release Dates[edit]

The article is missing release dates for the 2nd and 3rd games in the trilogy. 146.115.190.163 (talk) 00:21, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

So some say some parts of one or more games or the whole game series is as good as final fantasy. Clearly very informative. And why was popularity mentioned in the context of quality anyways? What is this trying to tell me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.239.161.53 (talk) 13:05, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Expansion[edit]

Here is some stuff we need to make this article better. The info box needs an image of the box art, preferably the one from the original PC version. I think the gameplay screenshots are fine, though a picture of the menu screen would probably help. The article needs a reception section, probably with Famitsu scores of the PC and PSP versions. The article should also focus only on the first game, so that separate pages can be made for the other games. I think a List of Sora no Kiseki characters article should be made as well. The soundtracks and merchandise should be added in the appropiate sections.

A sypnosis and character information can be taken from the main page, and if the plot really needs to be written, it should be summarized from events of the game without it being too big. Indeed, it is a lot of stuff to do, or we could wait for the 2011 western release and then do it. I will try and see if I can add as much stuff as possible before that happens. D&C Washer (talk) 16:31, 29 July 2010 (UTC).[reply]

I found some developer interviews, so a development section can be made, maybe. I am also looking at the stuff in the Japanese article, and I am slowly working on it to put it here, mainly the gameplay stuff. As for the characters, I plan to take the info from the official site, but only of the characters from the first game, the ones in the official site, nobody else. Zero no Kiseki[edit]

Technically, Zero no Kiseki is not within Sora no Kiseki but a sequel of it in the 3rd series of Legend of Heros. Just like how LH5 is sequel of LH4 but not within LH4. See The Legend of Heroes page for what I meant as I don't know how to clearly elaborate this. (70.71.121.7 (talk) 08:17, 4 September 2010 (UTC))[reply]

Rewrite/Reorganizing[edit]

Not sure it's with saying, as this article has been a mess and not very maintained for years, so no one may really see this, but FYI, I'm working on reworking this article. Before, it was a mess, hard to read, and hard to tell if this article was about he first game, or the trilogy. I'm cleaning it up and reworking it into a series article, with separate articles for each Chapter. Sergecross73 msg me 20:36, 7 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, upon working through things, it may be easier to just keep this as First Chapter and just better explain/define it as such... Sergecross73 msg me 15:55, 13 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Gameplay section[edit]

The gameplay section will need to be rewritten, as it does not adhere to WP:VGSCOPE; more specifically, it needs to avoid being written as if it is like a manual. In the context of the combat in the game, there is no need to explain what "Move", "Attack", etc. is and does - this is something you should assume the user who is reading knows what it means just by mentioning it. Likewise, avoid writing specific gameplay elements; for example, mentioning treasure chests on the field map is out of article scope - a better way to go about it would be to generalize that there are objects that can be interacted with. Spinwhirl (talk) 23:20, 7 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the sentiment, but...basically there's no one doing much work on the LOH/Trails series on Wikipedia. I've cleaned up the structure/scope issues 3 years ago, but it's been that long and no ones jumped in to work on it any further... Sergecross73 msg me 23:36, 7 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I intend to work on this article more in small bits gradually through time, but I felt it was necessarily to state in the Talk page that much of the article will be overwritten before proceeding to do so. If there aren't any major contributions, it seems like overwriting would be okay. Spinwhirl (talk) 23:52, 7 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, go crazy. Sergecross73 msg me 00:06, 8 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

PSP Release date of September 28?[edit]

Should the PSP release date be September 28, 2006, according to Media Arts Database [1]? Was it postponed a month? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:02, 21 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC[edit]

Hi, I only notice there's a Wikipedia page for FC. But not SC. Can u guys make an article on this game as well? Zeta Nova 05:25, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Zeta Nova - Look at the template at the bottom of this article. There are articles for First Chapter, Second Chapter, Third Chapter, and a series article. I've either created and/or written most of them... Sergecross73 msg me 15:05, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Replace Image[edit]

I'm guessing my attempt to remove the spoiler-y image was reverted because I just removed it without putting anything in its place. If I replace it with my owm image, there will be no problems, correct? TechinicalTurtle (talk) 05:33, 31 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your reason was that it was a spoiler though, right? See WP:SPOILER - it's basically not a valid reason to remove content from Wikipedia. Sergecross73 msg me 13:53, 31 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I still believe that the article would be improved by the use of a different image. The same information would be conveyed, but the spoiler would be removed. I still want to get rid of the spoiler for two reasons. One, the game is plot-heavy. Two, the image is from the second game. This article is about the first game, and I don't want people coming here after beating the first game for additional information to have the second game spoiled for them. I would like to go ahead with my image replacement if that is all right. TechnicalTurtle (talk) 19:08, 31 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I'm fine with that rationale. Years ago, it was hard to tell if this article was supposed to be for First Chapter or all three titles collectively. I rewrote/rearranged things, and made it so it only was about FC. The image could be left over from the days when it was more of a series article. Also, the games look so similar, and I haven't beaten FC yet or played Second Chapter, so I couldn't tell. Sergecross73 msg me 21:02, 31 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Question. Does my own screenshot count as a derivative work which allows me to upload it as my own work? Or are there some hoops that I have to jump through before I can upload my screenshot? TechnicalTurtle (talk) 22:06, 2 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Plot update[edit]

Hello readers! I've taken some liberties to expand the plot section. With the series as it is now, people might want a refresher to the first game so I editted in some more information without going into too much details. Also made a "setting" section touching upon the backstory a bit. There were also a handful of mistakes I caught. My thanks to everyone who contributed to this page before me, and I will definitely keep an eye out for the pages of the series. These games made a really hardcore fan out of me. Black Siegfried (talk) 20:06, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your enthusiasm, but that plot is far too long by Wikipedia standards. Please see WP:VG/PLOT. Your best bet would probably work on thinning it out some before someone deletes it outright. The old version was definitely too short, but this is too far in the opposite direction. Sergecross73 msg me 21:09, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there. This was actually my first edit so I wasn't aware. Though I mostly just added the "setting" section and only did minor expansion to the already existing plot description. After your advice, I did thin it out a bit. Not sure if that's good enough. Black Siegfried (talk) 05:42, 9 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the synopsis section[edit]

The plot summary is far too long and filled excessively with superfluous details. The setting part is worse, filled with details from other games in the series (that is, not in THIS game) and also conjecture with no sources.

I think that the plot summary should be shortened, and the setting section removed entirely. 2404:2D00:5000:841:2572:2DF8:8CFF:483F (talk) 11:43, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I've noticed that the issues have previously been brought up on this talk page but not been addressed for nearly a year. I shall thus be doing what I stated above. 2404:2D00:5000:841:2572:2DF8:8CFF:483F (talk) 11:44, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I support this. People have continually bloated them over time and they need to be trimmed back. Sergecross73 msg me 13:54, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I get that the last person went overboard with plot but...[edit]

Surely the plot section can be more detailed than THAT, right? This is a 40+ hour RPG; I don't see why the plot section can't be comparable to, say, that of a movie. Grave2 (talk) 15:12, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please see WP:VG/PLOT. It's supposed to be kept to around 700 words in length. So yes, as of right now, there is room for expansion. But we're talking about general, high level stuff. If someone wants to write or read a massive, play by play detailed plot summary, they can go to one of the Trails wikias for that. Sergecross73 msg me 15:28, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
