Comic book adaptation[edit]

Wally Wood illustrated a 26-page adaptation of the story in a one-shot comic book entitled An Earth Man on Venus for Avon Periodicals in 1951. The story was reprinted in Strange Planets #11 from I.W. Enterprises in the early 1960s.

(It's listed in The Official Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide for 1989 (#19), pages 132 and 363. Certainly in other issues, but this was the latest one that I had. WHPratt (talk) 21:53, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think that the cover shown in the article is the comic book. Note the "10 cents." Even a cheap paperback would have been 25 cents in 1951. Makes me wonder whether there was an Avon "paperback" as stated.WHPratt (talk) 12:20, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The link to "Faded Page" shows the cover of an Avon paperback edition, one using the "An Earth Man on Venus" re-titling. This confirms my suspicion that the graphic shown is the comic book. No price on the paperback, but I'd still guess 25 cents. Maybe 35. WHPratt (talk) 05:35, 27 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
