Text of the story[edit]

While this was never published as a book, most of it is on line in newspapers scanned by Google. Here's the beginning of the story, from the Gettysburg Gazette of 1911.[1]. It appeared, one chapter at a time, in that newspaper, on page 3 each day. Two chapters were skipped, for no visible reason. John Nagle (talk) 04:07, 13 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
