It's difficult to justify the existence of an article at short notice, and it's sometimes difficult to find information about folk artists, but I'll try.

They have been featured on Woman's Hour: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/womanshour/2004_01_tue_03.shtml

Fay Hield of the Witches is married to Jon Boden, of John Spiers and Jon Boden, and Bellowhead fame.

They will be touring with Grace Notes, a more established a capella twio, including Maggie Boyle (see reviews here: http://www.maggieboyle.co.uk/reviews.htm). The combined band are WitchNotes.

The Witches themselves have achieved some good reviews, most notably from the BBC, and Living Tradition, one of the main (in England anyway), folk and world music magazines: http://www.threescompany.org.uk/artists/reviews/witchesreviews.html

I'll leave it at that for now, and I hope that makes it clear that the issue of the significance of the band is at least debatable, so the article shouldn't be speedily deleted. Silverfish 22:39, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Saving the reviews reference above, in case it saves time for someone improving this article:
