Language, grammar and confusing sentence structure[edit]

Sections of this article read like they were partially translated from another language or were modified by another user that did not have strong editing skills. It is difficult to cite examples of this, as I am not knowledgeable enough about the subject matter to know how it should read. Hopefully, by posting this, someone with knowledge of human anatomy and the requisite abilities to convey it properly in the English language will become aware of the need for editing on this page. I would do so myself if I had enough training in the field of human reproductive physiology.

Should someone encounter this who possesses the biological knowledge but is simply unable to communicate it effectively, please contact me. We could work together to resolve the issues.

Agreed, Chrystie Fox. There is some awkward wording. I don't have the subject matter expertise to fix it, either. SunCrow (talk) 09:02, 24 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification needed[edit]

Under "sexual determination", the following sentence is unclear:

"Genetic sex determines whether the gonads will be testes or ovaries. In the developing embryo if the testes are developed, it will produce and secrete male sex hormones during late embryonic development and cause the secondary sex organs of the male to develop".

I cannot access the source. Could someone please clarify? SunCrow (talk) 09:02, 24 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

where is the unclarity? Except perhaps unclear antecedent of 'it', this makes sense to me. --2607:FEA8:D5DF:1AF0:55C8:168B:3E4C:23FB (talk) 23:37, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Non Inclusive Title[edit]

Critical gender studies proves that not all males have penises and some female people, nonbinary people and gender nonconforming people have penises. The word Male should be removed and replaced with Penis. 88.106.238.93 (talk) 15:24, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

See Wikipedia:Village pump (proposals)/Archive 161#Gender-neutral language in human sex-specific articles. Flyer22 Frozen (talk) 18:32, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Critical gender studies don't prove anything, they just state ideologies. This is a scientific article. I presume there are other places for ideological assertions. --2607:FEA8:D5DF:1AF0:55C8:168B:3E4C:23FB (talk) 23:39, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
