Untitled[edit]

One problem: Eros and Desire are not the same. Socrates disparages eros throughout the republic and treats it as just another desire but not so in Symposium, Phaedrus, Lysis, and other dialogues. Remove Note 5 Hommel, Bernhard (October 2019)[edit]

Currently note 5, "Affect and control: A conceptual clarification" Hommel, Bernhard (October 2019), should not be linked to the sentence under the section: The Tripartite Soul's first sentence "The Platonic soul consists of three parts which are located in different regions of the body".

The article does not discuss Plato, Socrates or soul but is making very detailed claims about psychological causality.

This reference should be completely removed. It's interesting for discussion on the topic. But is not part of a Wikipedia explanation of the basics of Plato's theory of soul. CorkyH (talk) 15:09, 7 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
