link to ripoffreport.com[edit]

(Redacted). It's a list of anonymous unverified reports, and it has no encyclopedic content. As such, it shouldn't appear in the external links section. See WP:ELYES and WP:ELMAYBE for suggestions on what should be linked. --Enric Naval (talk) 12:59, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ripoffreport.com is completely inappropriate. The community generally rejects links whose contents change unexpectedly, e.g., blogs that change whenever the author posts another entry, or pages like this, which change whenever another complainant randomly makes a complaint.
This type of link is not justifiable under any of the WP:External links guideline's advice. WhatamIdoing (talk) 18:53, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
WP:ELYES suggests linking to sites "that contain neutral and accurate material that is relevant to an encyclopedic understanding of the subject". www.ripoffreport.com seems to be pretty much the opposite of that. Alistair Stevenson (talk) 20:59, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Historical terms[edit]

The Register, as they call it, used to be known colloquially as"ThomCat". robdashu (talk) 12:54, 2 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have any references for that, only my memory. robdashu (talk) 12:55, 2 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
