"Future modular space station"[edit]

Shouldn't most of the "Future modular space station" section be in the Chinese space station article? Most of it is about derivatives of TG-1 and TG-2, not TG-3. 70.49.127.65 (talk) 23:41, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This section is not about the topic of the article and should be removed entirely.Brilliantwiki2 (talk) 05:13, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Launch date of Tiangong-3 (Tiangong-2 was not launched in 2013)[edit]

The launch of Tiangong-2 (contrary to the introduction of this article) didn't happen in 2013: According to the source given in the corresponding article [1] it will be launched in 2015, so Tiangong-3 would be launched some time later:

Some updated information for a new date, with sources if possible, is needed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Flo422 (talkcontribs) 02:57, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Tiangong-3 appears to be no more.[edit]

As of June 2016, the latest presentation show that the Chinese Space Station will have Tiangong-2 launched during 2016 and then go straight to the Testing Core Module launch in 2018. The CMSE has also stated the names of the modules, and thus it would appear that the Testing Core Module will be named Tian He. So, I think I would rather merge this with the Core Module into a Tian He article. Opinions? Baldusi (talk) 19:37, 29 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I've just looked over all the references used in this article and only two of them contain any mention of "Tiangong-3", and those are secondary sources that might very well be confusing it with the the large modular station. So is this a project that was cancelled or one that never existed in the first place? Brilliantwiki2 (talk) 05:30, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
After searching "天宫三号" on the CMSE website, it appears that a third test station was envisaged but all its goals were merged into Tiangong II. In newer entries, "Tiangong III" refers to the modular station. I suggest finding a new name for this article (Tiangong-3 Precursor?) so that it won't be confused with the modular station (which will no doubt go by the nickname Tiangong III in the future) Brilliantwiki2 (talk) 06:03, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
