I can see no difference between this and a salt marsh; if there is a significant difference it should be made clear in both articles. Saga City 18:49, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

- At first glance, it appears a tidal marsh is a type of salt marsh, so they should be merged. The only possible counter argument I anticipate is that tidal marshes may be freshwater, whereas salt marshes are either saline or brackish. --Beefyt (talk) 17:46, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
