Selenite?[edit]

Is it possible that "selenite" is a mistranslation? This mineral is very soft, has low tensile strength, and is severely damaged by running water; further, although small crystals are very common, pieces large enough for masonry are rare. All these properties would seem to make it thoroughly unsuitable for building towers. -- 202.63.39.58 (talk) 06:19, 1 September 2013 (UTC)
