Structural work[edit]

Just as a heads up, I'm looking at in the next few days folding the character list into the plot section. This is becoming more of the standard way of handling this information for short manga series with a small main cast, as a way of duplicating plot summary (once for the story, then again for each character). What I've seen done in this situation is a cast section in the movie section under media, along with production staff such as writer, director, producer, cinematographer, et and cet. I thought that Minami was suffering from some kind of survivor's guilt or post-traumatic stress syndrome or something *brandishes Weet-Bix diploma of psychology* and that was why she could not return his affections, rather than the stigma of surviving the bomb? --Malkinann (talk) 19:59, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, rereading the manga, the stigma part is covered in "Country," while Minami's issue really is survivor guilt. I've tried to make this more clear in my rewrite of "Town". Another point is the flashback where Minami found the charred body of her sister. On page 24 she found plenty of charred bodies but on page 26 she says that "...Midori never did come back..." indicating that her body was never found. And there is reference to Nanami's flashback of when her grandmother died, described as Asahi's adoptive mother, but on page 63 Grandma says that Midori hasn't come home yet, indicating that it's his mother from Hiroshima who is having flashbacks of her own to the time of the bombing. 68.7.90.60 (talk) 14:38, 17 December 2011 (UTC)Claude L. Let's see, I get the gist of the meat of that first one as:
The drawings, at first simplistic, appear particularly beautiful and characteristic of the author's particular style. They serve and emphasize the depth of a story that seeks to show us the daily life of a survivor, without ever going over-the-top or into excess morality, which would be particularly indigestible.

Speaking of said Korean publisher, I've readily confirmed its existence, that its ISBN is 9788970753492, and that its publisher is 문학세계사. This` seems to be the website of said publisher, but I cannot by any method of google-fu get it to admit it has the book in its catalog. So an appeal -- can anyone find the Korean publisher? Japanese translations needed[edit]

So, we've got some good resources in the External links section, if only we had a Japanese speaker working on the article. Of particular interest:

  • Can anyone pick out of the our source for the audio drama more information, such as staff/cast and what, exactly, the award was?
