Article's Religiosity[edit]

Reading this article, the uninitiated would think Catalonia a very religious, very Catholic country, but the reality is far from this.

Historically, Catalonia,, Spain, Portugal & France were like that, but not anymore, and Catalonia is particularly irreligious, to the point that they were burning down religiously-themed architecture in Gaudi's time. 49.184.139.97 (talk) 03:03, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Just added "Catalan nationalists" to the whole Barcelona thing we already discussed before this became a new page.

I wasn't sure what this statement meant: Catalonia has more than 15,000 "festes" that are really links with the Catalan culture. Foreign people can participate in these traditions, while the authentic and traditional nature of the customs is left intact. It's worth keeping if it can be made a bit clearer. Could someone offer insight? Raddick (talk) 21:53, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
