[edit] Editing out confusion etc
I'm considering changing the introduction here to be more accessible to non-anatomists, and deleting the section on weights. Is that ok? Any idea what I should do with the weight lifting info? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aleph Mercure (talk • contribs) 19:40, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- I quite liked the weightlifting info, as that is a very common reason for someone to research a specific muscle. Really, in this instance the distinction between fact and advice is minimal. --Mavrickatubc (talk) 04:24, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
- I also liked the weightlifting section. I came to this article because I lift weights; I am sure many others do ths same. I am not looking for instructions, but I am looking for information, and weight training routines are information. Cheers. Chelseaboy (talk) 13:13, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
- I also came here to gain information on which muscles are effected by which weight lifting exercises. Inclusion of the weight lifting exercises is therefore of great benefit to knowing what each muscle does and what type of weight lifting effects it so that for instance I might be able to develop my own weight lifting routines. If anything, all muscle articles should include sections on weight lifting, so the function they provide can be better understood as well. 71.100.15.15 (talk) 22:30, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

- While a list of exercises in which the trapezius muscles are used may fit within the article, the exercises in the list are at list in my mind poor choices. With the exception of the snatch high pull all of the exercises listed are either shrugs or upright rows. The trapezius muscle plays an important role in numerous exercises including deadlifts, cleans, snatches and variations on these as well as overhead presses, chin-ups, pull-ups and any kind of row. I don't think this article should give the impression that in order to work this specific muscle that a whole variety of isolation exercises are required. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.52.146.232 (talk) 03:52, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
[edit] "{{Confusing}}" tag
Although, am myself a medical student, I don't think the article can be made much more understandable without expanding it greatly, so have removed the tag. If someone still finds it confusing, kindly point out your difficulties here, I'll try to help, and also make appropriate changes in the article.
Also had a doubt—if all the fibers in the muscle are supplied by the same nerve, will the simultaneous contraction of the superior and inferior fibers not antagonize each others' actions? Hope someone answers it.
Regards.
