Thought I might start a talk page to swap ideas and chat with other TR owners fom the present and days gone by. I owned TR2s, 3s and 4s and raced all of them...great fun and very fond memories of leaving MGBs in the dust! LOL.--Phil Wardle 04:42, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I believe the TR4A was not available until at least 1966 in the U.S. I owned a 1965 Triumph TR4, not a TR4A. The wire wheels on the 1965 TR4 were 60 spoke, not the previous 48 spoke wheels. At "Engineering", the statement: "The pushrod Standard inline-four engine, was designed for use by Standard-Triumph in Triumph cars, but was also provided to Ferguson for use as tractor engines. The notion that Triumph used a tractor engine, rather than the other way around, is false.", appears to be at odds with information here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_wet_liner_inline-four_engine .
