Todo[edit]

The Preparations section is wrong. At no point was a hurricane watch issued. There was a TS watch for LA, upped to a warning and extended east. Then a hurricane warning issued over the top of that before the warnings began to be reduced just before landfall.--Nilfanion (talk)

It's accurate now.--Nilfanion (talk) 17:07, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Then why is there no grade on this article?Storm05 17:18, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Cause I don't trust myself to grade articles...--Nilfanion (talk) 18:06, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I marked it as start the class. As usual, the information is there, but there are quite a few grammar or spelling errors. Some places go into too much detail (watches and warnings), while other places don't have enough detail (non-Florida impact and intro). With some minor to moderate work, it'll be B class. You did a decent job on this. If there was a class between Start and B, this would get that. Hurricanehink (talk) 18:41, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I added more infomation. Storm05 15:55, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Good. For anything higher than a B (like nominating for GA), I would recommend doing a copyedit, add more spacing, more intro, etc. Hurricanehink (talk) 16:25, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Little development occurred until July 28, when convective activity began to increase. The wave moved into the eastern Caribbean on July 29, and while tracking west-northwest convection continued to increase over the next few days. The disturbance emerged into the Gulf of Mexico on August 1, with associated rainfall over southern Florida and the western tip of Cuba. A broad low pressure system with a minimum central pressure of 1014 developed along the wave near Dry Tortugas, Florida that same day, and beg an to intensify as it moved northwestward. At around 1800 UTC on August 2, an Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunter aircraft investigated the system and discovered that the low had organized into Tropical Storm Barry. The low developed into a tropical depression six hours earlier, as revealed by post-season analysis"?

Wrong link? Please verify[edit]

Hi there!

When adding some wikilinks to the czech version of this article, I used this version to verify. In the section "Impact": "...Flooding occurred in Leon County and parts of Apalachicola National Forest, where torrential rains flowed into the Cascade Lakes,..."

"Cascade Lakes" are linked to lakes in Oregon. Is this correct?
