The result was merge into Tu Di Gong. -- Tavatar (talk) 19:40, 29 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Any thought on the merge? If there are no objections to the proposal, I will merge the two articles within the next few weeks. Tavatar (talk) 15:38, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Support These articles should be merged, especially since Village gods in Taoism is too small on its own. Furthermore merging these articles would support WP:Integrate. // Gbern3 (talk) 20:37, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

To add to article[edit]

To add to article: the government of the People's Republic of China began destroying numerous Tudigong temples in mainland China in 2019. 173.88.241.33 (talk) 05:20, 18 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed split[edit]

I want to split Draft:Sheshen into its own article and remove the section Tudigong#Village_Gods and redirect the previously merged Village gods in Taoism to that new article.

Tudigong is a particular deity and these are a category of tutelary deity similar to City Gods.

I think I am required to say this on the page in order to have the draft be moved over the redirect Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 18:59, 7 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There are 234 million google results for its name in chinese. Actually about triple Tudigong. But unsure how good a metric that is Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 22:29, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This source seems to suggest there are multiple Tudigongs though https://www.britannica.com/topic/Tudi-Gong so I think there's a decent point to be made that the current article is just bad and we should merge my draft back into it Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 01:02, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Actually this source https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:tDXPbNHF63QJ:https://religion.moi.gov.tw/knowledge/content%3Fci%3D2%26cid%3D278&cd=24&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=ca seems to be enough for me to say they are the same, and the article is badly written and needs to be rewritten with the information in the draft instead Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 01:12, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Type of God vs Singular God[edit]

The first half of the article describes them as multiple individuals with the same rank. Various soil/land gods that govern an undefined territory. However, the second half of the article talks about him/them as if they are one god. Could someone who understands these stories fix this?Wacape (talk) 05:56, 30 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
