Uruk-Hai[edit]

strong similarity between the words Turok-Han, the uber-vampires and Uruk-hai, the uber-orcs of Tolkein's universe. Anyone know if this was intentional on Joss Whedon's part? If so, should be included as etymology for the term. Bindingtheory 05:02, 2 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a note about the name resemblance, because it seems at least as obvious to me as the mentioned Mutant Enemy mascot resemblance, and there are other examples of apparent Tolkien similarities being cited. --John Hubbard 03:22, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merging with Vampire (Buffyverse)[edit]

The Turok-Hans apparently are ancestors of the vamps in the Buffyverse, so it should be with that article, shouldn't it?--The Scourge 01:11, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article has a link to Vampire (Buffyverse)'s Talkpage regarding the merge, but I see nothing about the discussion on that page. Anyway, I don't believe it's necessry to merge the articles, because the Turok-Han article contains more information than would fit on the Vampire (Buffyverse) article. -- SupāSaru 01:11, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The first one being strong[edit]

The Master[edit]

There seems to be a strong similarity between the ubervamps and the Master from Season 1, is this intentional and is there any actual connection between them? 202.74.194.57 (talk) 13:39, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Master was said to be "the oldest vampire on record", so most likely he was only a generation or two removed from the ancient ubervamps. That would explain their similar looks. 75.76.213.106 (talk) 10:06, 18 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
