Rebellion as translation for "Volksaufstand", "Freiheitskampf" is not coming closest[edit]
By using the wording "rebellion" WP editors are framing the armed resistance of the Tyrolean people in a way that IMHO does not pay respect to the facts. Rebellion is downplaying the facts.
In German / Austrian literature the wordings used in general are: Volksaufstand and Freiheitskampf. Volk = The people; Aufstand (literally: standing up against) = revolt, uprising; Freiheit = Freedom; Kampf = armed fight, armed resistance.
In French most used is Resurrection The Britannica also uses resurrection.
