Insight Bowl as Notre Dame Coach...[edit]

He was fired beforehand and didn't coach the team. Does it still need to be listed here?Fuhreeus 10:53, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Where was he born?[edit]

The body of the article indicates Kinston, NC but the infobox indicates Jacksonville, NC —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rob110178 (talkcontribs) 19:28, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is he Catholic?[edit]

I assumed he was because he coached at Notre Dame (a Catholic university). But I couldn't find any source to back this up. And if he's not Catholic, does anyone know what his religion is? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.10.52.221 (talk) 19:09, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's an excellent way to edit an encyclopedia! If you have an assumption, put it in! Don't bother to check if you're right or not! As for your belief that every ND coach was catholic, check out Ara Parseghian. Also read about verifiability, to help understand how to edit this encyclopedia. --Omarcheeseboro (talk) 19:47, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well at first I thought it was obvious that the Notre Dame coach would have to be Catholic. I see now that isn't the case, as the Parseghian example makes very clear. As a Catholic myself, I find it extremely disappointing that this supposedly Catholic school doesn't stand firm and insist on Catholic leadership, on the football field and everywhere else. Suffice to say Notre Dame is a Catholic school in name only. Sorry about posting inaccurate information but I learned something here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.10.52.221 (talk) 15:09, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
