[edit] Redlinks in DAB pages

For WP:SHIPS we use the specific {{shipindex}} marker and while similar in rules to disambig pages not all styles of db are followed for these pages. In regards to USS Liberty (1918) it is listed here for a reader that may be looking for an article on USS Liberty but not be aware there were several such ships. The link needs to be restored. --Brad (talk) 22:56, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

I'm not aware of any exemption for specific projects on how to follow the disambiguation guideline. There are plenty of redlinks that could be accommodated in other kinds of db pages for information only, but they are not accommodated. I don't see why ships are any different.
