Hi,

Just dropping my to say this article's image is out of date - this (http://wolves.ie/ulsu.ie/img/logo-studentsunion.png) has been the SU's logo for at least five years now, and they're moving towards a rebrand in a few years. Can someone upload the current logo and add it to the page? I don't believe I can.

Update[edit]

This article is a little dated. And while it is not true that it changed legal name (legally it’s still UL SU), or became a commercial organisation, it does have an issue that should probably be mentioned, an odd flaw in its constitution since 2019/2021, which allows a small Board, which can have up to 4 out of 10 non-student members, to override basically any decision if the student body or governing council, as basically any material decision would meet the conditions:

The Board of Directors may override any decision or Policy made by Referenda or the Student Council which the Directors consider (in their absolute discretion): 11.5.1 has or may have any financial implications for the Union; 11.5.2 is or may be in breach of, contrary to or otherwise inconsistent with any legal requirements (including ultra vires); 11.5.3 is not or may not be in the best interests of the Union or all or any of its objects; or 11.5.4 will or may otherwise affect the discharge of any or all the responsibilities of the Board of Directors

This provision is unique among Irish student unions.

Hiya. If you have reliable/verifiable sources to support any/all of the above, then please add them. And update the text to reflect them. If you cannot or should not make the changes/additions yourself, then provide your sources (and describe the changes you think should be made and why) here on this Talk page. As an edit request. Agreed. Perhaps this issue (in a mangled way) is the source of some of a previous edit I had to undo. Properly cited, it does seem notable (and unusual) enough to mention. Certainly a provision like that would have got any SU executive I knew decades ago thrown out of office. The article still needs more work anyway, and some illustration.
