it== Recreating article == Why is the fake Johnny Canuck WHL logo featured on this article? The logo originated with a Victoria program around 1970 along with other caricatures of WHL team logos. Why isnt the logo the Canucks actually wore on their sweaters and used in print shown? Didn't realize the two teams teams were two separate franchises each with the same name. I thought it was the same team with some of the info spread across Wikipedia. That was my fault for not looking deeper into the problem. --Youtoobitout (talk) 20:11, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The WHL team was not a totally separate franchise and it should not be treated as an entirely separate entity. The WHL logo needs to be cleared up.

The logo shown on the main page was NOT introduced in 1961 and it was rarely used. It was only used briefly during the Canucks last season on a few programs. The original Johnny Canuck logo was introduced sometime around 1954 and was used concurrently with a second version until 1970.

Possible merge[edit]

Why is this even a separate article, if this team is the predecessor of the current NHL team? I think this page should be merged into the main one. Mizzou1993 (talk) 21:15, 15 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Aside from them being two different teams, even if they share the same name, its long been policy to have spate articles for various incarnations of teams, as it allows for more complete information regarding the relevant team to be added, instead of condensing in the name of being a meaningful length on pages. And it would really not serve any benefit to merge, its not like there is a finite amount of space being taken up. Kaiser matias (talk) 14:02, 16 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
