Venetian Riviera[edit]

The Venetian Riviera has nothing to do with the Venetian Lagoon. The Venetian Riviera , from Rosolina Mare to Trieste, has an extension of about 200 km. with sandy and rocky beaches, where the venetiasn dialec is spoken ( coastline of the provinces of Rovigo, Venice, Udine, Gorizia and Trieste)

Map[edit]

A map showing the islands and other features in and around the lagoon would be informative. -- Beland (talk) 17:16, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

Ecotones?[edit]

I have moved the following addition here:

four ecotones could be identified:"head", the upper tract, lower tract and the mouth.<ref>{{cite web |url= http://www.mtsn.tn.it/pubblicazioni/5/actaB80/42_actaBIO_dondi.pdf|title= La foce fluviale come gradiente d’ecotono: l’esempio del Fiume Natissa nel Nord-Adriatico|author= Gianluca DONDI, Agnese MARCHINI, Renato SCONFIETTI*|date=September 26, 2011 |work= Studi Trent. Sci. Nat., Acta Biol., 80 (2003): 237-244|publisher=Museo Tridentino di Scienze Naturali, Trento }}</ref>

While "ecotone" could be wikilinked, it doesn't help me understand what this is about. This really needs more exposition and context for it to make sense. -- Donald Albury 11:46, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
