Merge?[edit]

There seems to be a lot of overlap between this and Venetian polychoral style. - Smerdis of Tlön (talk) 18:26, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

I wrote them way back in 2004, and they have changed little since then. Honestly I can't remember why I split them out, rather than building the stylistic characteristics of the school into a (rather large) subsection. Merging is fine. I remember way back then I wrote an article on polychoral which someone (incorrectly) merged to antiphon (not all polychoral music is antiphonal -- they're different things) -- but I didn't fight over it and kind of forgot about it. Haven't fixed that yet. So another solution might be to rename the VPS article to polychoral, adding material about non-Venetian polychoral music, and so forth.
