Alumni[edit]

In general, I have no problems with the edits @Mdann52: made before the page was promoted, though I would like to see the alumni section reestablished. The alumni culture is not as strong in Lithuania, so providing the kind of statistics that MIT can is difficult. That said, I came here today to add some alums to the section, so I'm reconstituting it. Moacir (talk) 14:00, 10 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright non-violating candidate page[edit]

I created a candidate page to replace the copyright-infringing page at Talk:Vilnius_Gediminas_Technical_University/Temp. The copyright infringing language found on linkedin was identical to the language on VGTU's own "about" pages, but I still edited it all to conform more to Wikipedia's standards by providing extensive documentation, structure, and linking.

I used the MIT page as my model, and have pulled information from both Lithuanian and English VGTU pages as well as (some) from Lithuanian news portals. I tried to target the language a bit towards English-language people who might be interested in VGTU, such as potential ERASMUS students.

There are also orphaned seal and logo files risking getting deleted if the candidate rewrite doesn't get accepted. Moacir (talk) 19:54, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright violation[edit]

I see that Vgtu123 has restored the previously embargoed article. I hope that would be because the copyright violations have been settled (in that the offending text belongs not to linkedin, but, rather, to VGTU). Shame that the article is missing what I had added, though.
