Is Walbury Hill really on Salisbury Plain?. I would have said it was too far north and east for that. Can we cite a source for this?. -- Chris j wood 10:38, 16 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The Highest Point in South East England ?[edit]

Walbury Hill may be the highest hill in South East England, but not the highest point. Leith Hill in Surrey is which is 294m (968ft) has a tower (built circa 1766) on it which is 20m (65ft) high, making it the highest point in South East England. On a clear day you can see the English Channel from the top.

But on this basis you could count many masts in south east England (eg Wrotham Transmitter, the top of which is about 390m high) as being higher. Halsteadk 21:15, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
