Removed this sentence, " This substance also makes water hard, and is costly and difficult to deal with." The hardness in the groundwater is largely a function of calcium, magnesium, and carbonate (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_water). While salt (sodium chloride) may be a problem both for taste and salinity (in terms of meeting PWQO for sodium) it does not affect the hardness of the groundwater. 216.59.241.90 14:53, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removed citation[edit]

I reverted a change in citations because the new citation didn't specifically address the claim to which it was attached. Here's the citation that was removed:

  • Delineation of three-dimensional well capture zones for complex multi-aquifer systems. Frind EO, Muhammad DS, Molson JW. Department of Earth Sciences, University of Waterloo, Ontario (NCBI Abstract)

I think it's useful to use as a reference, but not for that claim. Mindmatrix 23:33, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
