Timeline[edit]

According to the History section here, WaveLAN went to market in 1988 and went to IEEE 802 in 1989. According to IEEE 802.11, the first 802.11 standard was ratified in 1997. Did it really take 9 years to get the standard done? --Kvng (talk) 15:22, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
