Needs rewrite[edit]

I don't know much about this man, so I am not in the position to do it myself, but the majority of this page needs a serious rewrite. The paragraph "Although Bishop Boone is a Black American, people of all races applaud him because he is culturally conscious but not culturally controlled. More than 20 years ago, during a Promise Keepers meeting in Indianapolis that is available on YouTube, he declared before 70,000 mostly White men, "We are one!" Wave after wave of applause and celebration followed his call to unity. His messages on racial unity in America elicit the same response from people of all races today" has no references and is clearly someone giving their own opinion as fact. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.146.65.182 (talk) 17:27, 8 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I think some of the worst of the puffery has been removed. I note the article is lacking information on his education, who or how he was ordained, when did he become "bishop" etc. --Erp (talk) 05:58, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Dividing up "Views" section[edit]

I don't know much about this man or his views, but the existing section seems to be specifically pointing out some of his more controversial viewpoints rather than giving a holistic picture of his opinions. Would it be better to rename it to "Controversial views" and divide the latter list into its own section? KosaqN (talk) 21:41, 15 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
