At present salt is only produced from brine (saline water) in Modern Saline Water Utilisation Plant. On the market are: iodic salt, "Salvita" salt, dietetic salt for people with high blood pressure, salt tablets, "Kinga" bath salt, "Regis" foot salt, and feed supplements for animals - "Wisole". It seems the worlds first underground hot air balloon flight was in Croatia, in a cave, not a salt mine.

Article needs a section on history[edit]
