The name of Dyer's wife[edit]

I've reverted an edit concerning the name of Dyer's wife, with the following reasoning. William Dyer married Mary Barrett, and that is what she should be called before her marriage. However, any reference to Dyer's wife after their marriage should use her legal name of Mary Dyer. During the period of time that she was a Quaker, her name was Mary Dyer, and she should therefore be referenced by that name; this is the only name given her in the colonial records during this time frame.Sarnold17 (talk) 23:44, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
