Top 20 guitarists according to Rolling Stone Magazine?[edit]

This is an odd claim, considering neither Powell or turner is listed on the 100 Greatest Guitarists list. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/lists/100-greatest-guitarists-20111123 Did this happen at some point in the 70s or 80s? Regardless, it is not verified and a search only finds this claim in their own promotional materials. DFS (talk) 20:08, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Even fishier..... the webpage at http://www.wishboneash.co.uk/articles--interviews-2 has a copy of dozens of articles about Wishbone Ash. Why don't they have the Rolling Stone article or the Traffic article which lauds their talents? I'm not buying it. DFS (talk) 20:37, 15 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Rolling Stone has published a number of lists. It might be that these two were on a list in the early to mid 70s - but if so that needs to be mentioned. I have tagged that comment.

Definition of "Success"?[edit]

"a British rock band who achieved success in the early and mid-1970s"

Seriously. What definition of success is being used here? I want to see some sources and citations for this claim. From what I've seen over the past ten years they were never NOT successful. SentientParadox (talk) 09:38, 5 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bob Skeat[edit]

Why bassguitarist of Wishbone Ash has no his own article? Is there anybody who could create it? The same problem is in the case of new guitarist Mark Abrahams. --Bohemianroots (talk) 12:30, 6 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Someone did for Skeat and it got redirect to this article. I don't see that they are notable.
"Members of notable bands are redirected to the band's article, not given individual articles, unless they have demonstrated individual notability for activity independent of the band, such as solo releases." - Wikipedia:Notability_(music)#Individual_members,_reality_television_performers.

Steve Upton[edit]

Hi again, it is very sad that such important person in history of Wishbone Ash as Steve Upton is, has no his own article. Is there anybody who could improve it? Thanks --Bohemianroots (talk) 08:00, 26 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

What did he do after he left the band ? -- Beardo (talk) 01:32, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I understand he managed a chateau in France RGCorris (talk) 07:41, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kings Head Wood Green[edit]

My friend and I saw them there upstairs at the Kings Head pub. We were the only two people there and left after about 30 mins. About three weeks later (it seemed to me) they were suddenly really famous. Btw our tickets were free. We usually went to the Fishmongers Arms over the road to see bands in those days. 2A00:23C7:EB88:1D01:AD94:7057:FC85:3253 (talk) 20:03, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
