The correct name is Yeri, not Geri.
There's a whole history behind it. Yeri is pronounced exactly as the Greek name.
I am afraid you are wrong. Geri is the official spelling used by the Republic of Cyprus, read this document if you wish [1] You can also have a look at a Cyprus (government produced) map [2] Georgeg 09:05, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

All these you mention are based on the scandalous transliteration by Menelaos Christodoulou. The traditional spelling is Yeri.Neo ^ 13:50, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
