Opening heading[edit]

I've just discovered this article and much of the text sounds very familiar to me. In particular, the text in the sections about Dwynwyn, the history and natural history is taken almost verbatim, with a few minor changes of wording, from a web page I wrote about Llanddwyn back in 2000. You can verify this by looking at the www.archive.org copy of my web site from August 2000 at http://web.archive.org/web/20000829173542/www.anglesey-history.co.uk/places/llanddwyn/index.html. The current page is at http://www.anglesey-history.co.uk/places/llanddwyn/index.html.

I'm not happy about the use of my copyrighted material without permission or attribution. Also, this is clearly against Wikipedia policy.

I'm new to Wikipedia and thus am reluctant jump in head first and have the page removed or zap all the sections that are copied from my site, but I do not want my material to remain here without permission or attribution.

Any comments are welcome while I consider my options. Thanks.

It appears that you have taken peremptory action yourself although with a less than honest edit summary. It is generally inadvisable to hide significant text deletions behind a text move to another page. Velella ^{Velella Talk} 22:06, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
