The prevalence of subjective descriptions (such as "...decided to try their luck..") and irrelevant facts (such as "...today Israel hosts more companies traded on NASDAQ than any other country apart from the United States and China..." makes this come across as a PR piece rather than an encyclopedia entry.

Looking quite a bit better, but I'm having a hard time finding support in the sources for some of the more superlative stuff ("father" of Israel's high-tech industry, and that type of thing.) Are there any sources that support this? If not, perhaps it should be toned down a bit ("successful Israeli entrepreneur" would be well supported, for instance)? OK, I'll revise it until all sources will be available online.
BTW, I am having great difficulty in uploading his photo. The Wiki moderators are simply ignoring my notes that this photo is NOT copyrighted! —comment added by John Hyams(t/c)
Keep in mind that any photo under US law (which is the controlling law, since Wikipedia is located in the US) is -automatically- copyrighted. If you took the photo, you may choose to release the photo under the GNU Free Documentation License or as public-domain. If you are not the copyright holder, the person who is would have to release the photo properly. It's also possible, if neither of these is the case, that the photo could be used under fair use. If you'd like some further assistance, please leave further details here or on my talk page. Seraphimblade 09:51, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes the easiest way to get an approval for a photo assuming you took it for example, is to use the GNU Free Documentation License on a site page which has the photo (just link to GNU, and say it is released under that agreement). Thanks for the help guys :) Davidoff 04:58, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The reference to his being the "father" of Israel's hi-tech industry was taken verbatim from a publication issued by the Israel Export Institute, a semi-governmental agency. Should that be in a footnote? —comment added by Zozoulia(t/c)

Yes, that would certainly be a reliable source for it. Generally, an assertion that states someone is the "top" of something, or the "father" of it, or some similar thing, should always be sourced-such an assertion is almost always questionable. Even so, though, unless widespread assertions of this could be found in reliable sources, might be better something like "Zisapel is a successful Israeli entrepreneur, who the Israeli Export Institute once referred to as the "father of..."(source cite here)". Would that work alright? Seraphimblade 05:06, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
