When Howard penned that story Pigeons From Hell in 1934 neither the Comic Book Authority nor even its predecessor the Association of Comics Magazine Publishers, were in existence, as they were formed in 1954 and 1948 respectively, so they could not have influenced his decision to create the "zuvembie". I've replaced and reworded the sentence. It was not meant to imply that The CCA affected Howard in anyway. It was merely a statement that the word was used, independently of Howard, in place of "zombie" because the CCA had banned that word. - AdamBMorgan (talk) 13:10, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
