Emilia is a herbaceous plant genus of about 50–100 species[1] in the family Asteraceae, known as tasselflower or pualele.[1][2] The members of the genus are distributed mainly in the tropics and sub-tropics of Africa and Asia. Some species have also been placed in the genus Cacalia.
