She moved from Minnesota to Los Angeles at the age of 17. She enjoys horseback-riding in the mountains and going back home to Minnesota.

She was introduced to acting early on, and by the time she graduated high school, she had experience in radio, TV commercials and theatre.
Redmann's first big role would have been in The Mighty Ducks, but her part was cut. Instead, her first big movie role was in the science fiction film Chameleon 3: Dark Angel in 2000, and since then she has had roles in a few other movies, such as Double Teamed.[1]
Redmann is best known for her role as Louise Grant in the television series Gilmore Girls. She has also appeared on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as Jim Brass's daughter Ellie, CSI: Miami and Boston Public. In 2002 she portrayed the character of Nicky Williams (with black hair) in the Disney Channel movie Double Teamed.
