TechnoMarine was founded in 1997, by French entrepreneur Franck Dubarry in Geneva, with the launch of the "Raft", a chronograph on a transparent plastic strap, selling 50,000 models in its first year and creating an entirely new category of luxury fashion timepieces, one which triggered a revolution in the luxury watch industry. Initially conceived as a "vacation souvenir watch", the "Raft" paved the way for a new generation of fine timepieces. [1] [2]
