[edit] History

The school was named after Tecumseh, a leader of the Shawnee tribe. Tecumseh was built in 1910. There are two portables, one of them was used as an art room in the past. But now, it's a normal classroom.

[edit] Programs

The school has a MACC (Multi Age Cluster Class) program. Currently, Ms. Cotton is teaching the Grade 4/5 program and Ms. Chomyn is teaching the grade 6/7 program.

[edit] Lunch

  • Tecumseh primary students have the to eat in the multipurpose room.
  • All grade 4 students eat in the room right off the gym.
  • Grade 5 to grade 7 students eat in the gym. Everybody must sit on the ground unless there are extra benches in which the grade 7's have priority over.
  • The school only allows grade 6s and 7s to go out of the school for lunch, only with a signed note that has the teacher and parent's signature saying that they are allowed to go out of the school for lunch until the bell rings at 1:00 pm.
  • Each year there are a couple of pizza days and the students can order pizza, their parents can also volunteer to help there.

[edit] Extra Curricular Activities

  • Tecumseh has many extra curricular activities such as Student Leadership, choir, running club, dance club, basketball, chess, volleyball, indoor hockey, Canadian football, badminton, music listening/announcements, dance and more. The staff use their own time for these.
  • Grade 5's go to Victoria for a day every year.
  • Annually, Grade 6's go to Elphinstone Camp. Get it? Elf in stone? LOL
  • Every year, all student leaders are selected to go to the Student Leadership Conference.

[edit] Graduation
